Undergraduate Workplace Services Intern
We are looking for undergraduate level students majoring in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, Property/Real Estate Management, Organizational Leadership, Human Resource Management, Public Administration or a related field for a 10-week internship role inWaltham, MA and Cambridge, MAfrom June 1st to August 7th.
Position Duties:
Assist with daily facilities and office operations, including supporting meeting room coordination, supply management, visitor reception, and service requests to ensure a smooth and efficient workplace environment.
Participate in employee experience and sustainability initiatives by helping organize events, promoting recycling or health and safety programs, and gathering feedback to enhance the overall work environment and well-being of staff.
Contribute to process improvement projects by collecting and analyzing data, documenting procedures, and collaborating with the Workplace Services team to identify opportunities for increased effectiveness and service quality.
Position Requirements:
Undergraduate level students majoring in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, Property/Real Estate Management, Organizational Leadership, Human Resource Management, Public Administration or a related field.
Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2026.
Strong Communication: Able to clearly express ideas in both written and verbal formats and interact professionally with team members and vendors.
Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and meeting deadlines.
Attention to Detail: Careful and accurate in carrying out tasks such as scheduling, data entry, or process documentation.
Teamwork: Comfortable working collaboratively within diverse teams and across departments.
Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying issues and suggesting practical solutions.
Customer Service Orientation: Positive attitude when interacting with colleagues and visitors, focused on delivering a great workplace experience.
Basic Technical Proficiency: Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and willing to learn new digital tools.
Preferred Experiences:
Coursework Related to Workplace Services: Classes in business administration, operations, hospitality, environmental science, or project management.
Participation in Campus Activities: Involvement in student organizations, event planning, or volunteer roles that demonstrate leadership, organization, or collaboration.
Previous Internships or Part-time Work: Experience in office administration, customer service, facilities support, hospitality, or project-based work.
Project or Research Assignments: Applied classroom learning in group projects or research relevant to operational efficiency, sustainability, or employee engagement.
Exposure to Professional Settings: Any activity that has provided insight into organizational structures, workplace culture, or process improvement.
US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
This role will not be providing CPT support.
Ability to report onsite to Waltham and Cambridge, MA 4-5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
Compensation range: $31 - $32.50 hourly
